Erick Taabu Oyugi
Acting co-ordinator
Erick has a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Finance) and is also a Certified Public Accountant with over 10 years experience in accounting, financial management and reporting. He joined COPA in August 2005 as a Finance & Administration Officer prior to which he worked for Africa Peace Forum as an accountant for five years. Over the years he has gained valuable experience in handling various donor grants among other funding sources in addition to having undergone several on-the-job trainings, like ‘Leadership development training’ by Skillshare International, ‘Practical financial management for NGOs’ and ‘Strategic financial planning’ by Mango UK and various financial and governance trainings by Pact Kenya.

Martha Wanjiru Ndogoto
Programme officer
Martha is a holder of Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a higher diploma in human resources management. She has gone through various levels of training in conflict transformation and trauma healing. Her peace building work spans a period of over 6 years in various capacities. She is instrumental in the implementation of various programmes including the capacity building trainings, peace education and trauma healing. Prior to her engagement with COPA, she worked for Shelter Afrique.

Obby Mizinga Chibuluma
Regional coordinator COPA Southern
Obby has experience in post conflict transformation through his work in the Southern Africa region with organizations that focus on ex-combatants, faith based organizations and NGOs in building structures for sustainable peace. He has worked as a grassroots good governance and peace building activist in Zambia, Southern Africa and other African regions. Obby is currently working with COPA as the Regional coordinator for Southern Africa, sharing his wealth of experience in training for conflict transformation.

Rose Wawuda Ouko
Programme assistant
Rose supports the programme officer in implementing programmes including capacity building and women programs. She has a diploma in French from the Alliance Francaise and is currently pursuing a Higher Diploma in Project Management at the Kenya Institute of Management (KIM). She has also received trainings from Pact Kenya on Monitoring & Evaluation and Resource Mobilization. Rose is the Coordinator for Eastern, Central and Southern Africa for Peace Women Across the Globe (PWAG).

Joy Kamau
Programme assistant
Joy is currently pursuing a BA in Sociology from University of Nairobi. Her extra-curricular activities include acting as a volunteer campaigner during the World Social Forum in 2007. Joy joined COPA as an intern in March 2008, this gave her the chance to expand her knowledge on conflict transformation, peace building and trauma healing. She assists in executing COPA’s programmes, engaging in co-facilitating at workshops and writing reports.

Isaac Wamalwa
Office assistant
Isaac joined COPA in February 2005 as an office assistant, a position he has held to date. He is an “O” level graduate and has also trained as a driver. His role and presence within COPA cannot go unmentioned. Over the years he has proved to be a reliable officer who can be entrusted with additional responsibilities which will be handled competently.

Hesbon Omeme Mbego
Finance Assistant
Hesbon joined COPA on 9th November 2009 as the Finance Assistant. He has a CPA part II certificate in accounting from Strathmore University, with over two years working experience.

William Kuyan
COPA’s driver
William joined COPA in 2008 as the organization’s driver after several years of driving as a PSV driver with reputable organizations.

Patience Dzame Kombo
Intern
Patience has a diploma in Human Resource Management. She is currently pursuing a BA degree in Sociology and Psychology at the University of Nairobi. She joined COPA as an intern in October 2009 with an interest to build a career focusing on humanitarian issues.
